The sorption methods of the hydrometallurgical, galvanic etc. poisonous waste extraction are the evident practical interest. The photochemical substances transformations in the presence of TiO2 polycrystalline powders, are some of the purify methods.

In spite of obvious significance, the photochemical activity tie with TiO2 crystalline structure, specific surface and sorption properties is not clear so far. The sorption properties of various crystalline modifications TiO2 - anatase, rutile and two-phase specimens were studied.

Two-phase TiO2 particles were constructed like thus, the nucleus of which was anatase and shell - rutile. The sorption kinetics of anions (MnO4-, Cr2O7-, {Fe(CN)6}- and kations (Cu2+,Pb2+,Sr2+,Ca2+, Ni2+ ) by TiO2 were investigated.

It was shown, the sorption properties depended on crystalline structure and chemical surface of TiO2 essentially, while the photochemical transformations velocity of MnO4-, Cr2O7- and {Fe(CN)6}- anions was tied with sorption processes narrowly. The functional groops which were presented on TiO2 surface, phosphate-ions for example, exerted influence over its sorption capacity.

It was found, the highest sorption and catalytic activity in this experiments owned TiO2 speciments with two-phase structure, contained 40% of anatase, but lowest - calcined at 1073 K rutile, which was lowest specific surface characterized.
