At last time visual tests have been distributed for determination ions metals in deferent ecological and technologic objects.

Various analytical needs are caused the necessary of creation new selective, sensitive test-reagents.

We have considered a series of the solid carriers, such as the transcarpathian mordenite , silica gel and silipor modified by the complex-creating chromogenic compounds - quercetin, morin and 1-2-pyridilazo 2-naphtol (PAN).

The sorbents were modificated by three methods.

At the first method the sorbent mixed with the chelating reagents was dried at the room temperature to the full evaporation of the solvent.

At the second method the solution of corresponding concentration was passed through the sorbent layer.

The third method was the solid phase modification.

The IR spectra of the modificated by the different methods sorbents were registered to determine the surface changes. Besides this, the spectra of solutions of quercetin, morin and PAN were obtained before and after the contacts with the sorbents.

Efficiency of the modification methods was controlled by the possibility of the modificated sorbents to find the Cu, Fe and Zn-ions in the water samples and the sample of the pigments used in artists materials.

The results of this investigation have been used in technico-technologycal studies of Bogorodchansky iconostas.
