It is common knowledge that there are more than 90 species of microorganisms in the oral cavity of a human being there and many of them are capable to colonize not only the natural teeth but also dental implants and plates. The present work analyses abilities of certain mostly aggressive bacteria to stick on polymers, metal and carbonic materials.

They produce active toxins and pathogenic enzymes. Among the general population of microorganisms in the oral cavity such capabilities belong first of all to staphylococcus bacteria that cause purulent and inflammation reactions and streptococcus bacteria that belong to the acidogenic group and are able to damage metal materials.

We have analyzed the adhesive ability of bacteria and morphological state of the surface of experimental samples. During the research we used pure cultures of microorganisms, that were sown over a special media with the samples placed inside.

The number of microorganisms and the arrangement density of colonies was analyzed by means of the microscopic method in cooperation with the method of statistic processing of results.

It was established that regardless of species of microorganisms the population of the material decreases with the increase of the class of the surface-finish both of metals and of carbonic materials.

We have established an absence of the adhesive capability of several microorganisms towards the surface of carbonic films. We have also established the influence of the surface morphological state over the adhesive capabilities of microorganisms.
