The study of the adsorption of the surfactants on borders of a liquid – solid body and liquid – gas phases is urgent both for the further development of the theory of adsorption and for solving of a lot of practical tasks. Despite a large number of scientific works the quantitative information about adsorption surfactants by solid and gas adsorbents are inconsistent. The information about the th Continue Reading »

At the end of the last century, Röntgen in 1882 suggested the existence of bulky and dense states in liquid water in order to account for the density maximum in liquid water. As early as 1912, Hardy recognized that interfacial liquids might be modified by proximity to solid surfaces. The differences in water properties were also observed Continue Reading »

Effect Ph On Rheological And Electric Properties

EFFECT pH ON RHEOLOGICAL AND ELECTRIC PROPERTIES

OF AEROSIL A‑175 DISPERSIONS, MODIFIED BY IONIC SURFACTANTS

Lviv Ivan Franko National University, Lviv, Ukraine

Effect pH medium on structure-mechanical and electro surface properties of the aerosil A‑175 dispersions, modified by cationic benzetonium chloride (BTC) and anionic sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDbS) was studied by the rotational viscosimetry and macro electrophoresis methods. Surfactants concentration was stated 2´10-3 mol/l, pH medium changed from 2 until 12.
